Day 154: Wrote to a Prisoner
As I have gotten older, I have gotten a little more forgiving. When I was young, if someone wronged me or my loved ones, I wrote them off as a person I wouldn't talk to ever again. As years passed, I have begun to soften my stance and believe that most people deserve a second chance. To be honest, I wouldn't be married to a beautiful wife and have a gorgeous daughter if my wife didn't give me a second opportunity to make a first impression. With the idea of second chances in mind, for today's random act of kindness, I wrote a letter to a prisoner offering words of encouragement and positivity so that they could move forward in the right direction. I found a website called Write A Prisoner that allows you to search for incarcerated individuals throughout the country, read about them in their profile, and send them a letter or email should you choose. I know it may not be for everyone, and everyone may not agree with this, but I have said from the beginning that no one is below receiving an act of kindness.
